I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the fields of domestic violence and sexual assault since 1985. I have experience working with individuals, running therapy groups, and facilitating trainings. I am currently a member of the Adjunct Faculty in the Holistic Studies and Masters in Clinical Psychology Departments at JFK University and at Palo Alto University. I provide supervision and consultation to other psychotherapists and organizations. I have also worked as the Counseling Department Supervisor and Sexual Assault Department Manager at Women’s Crisis Support~Defensa de Mujeres, as a Self-Defense Instructor, and as a Trainer.
As a professional dancer and dance instructor, I bring an active curiosity and awareness of my clients' movement vocabulary into my work. I find that utilizing the body through breath, movement, gesture and posture enriches the therapeutic process. This deepens the processing of content, thoughts and feelings.
I come to the exploration of therapy out of a deep passion to help people find their own paths toward healing.
